Hebrews is a good example of an anonymous work. Unlike other epistles, Hebrews does not begin with a salutation that identifies the author. It also is made in a unique style from the rest of the New Testament. The early church fathers had diverse opinions on the authorship. Various theories have been proposed, examples such as Paul, [[Allen2010-ph|Luke]], [[noauthor_2017-zf|Apollos]], [[Eusebius_of_Caesarea_Bishop_of_Caesarea2005-ro|Clement of Rome]], [[noauthor_undated-pw|Barnabas]] and [[Hoppin2000-gb|Priscilla]], but none have gained universal acceptance.
